Movie Night for a Good Cause

Wind down on a Friday night with a screening of Machang, presented jointly by the SLCAM and the Sri Lankan Association of McGill. Money Raised will go towards raising funds for Project H20

Sinhalese  background)  struggle  to  live  up  to  their  common  dream.  Come see  our  version  of  Slumdog  Millionaire  -  ‘Machang’  and  how  Rajan  -
Manoj succeeded in their dream trip to Germany. (Based on a True Story)”

Project H2O: Helping Hands Operation Launched!

The SLCAM is proud to kick off the first initiative of Project H2O. In light of everything currently happening in Sri Lanka, it is our duty to help the thousands of IDP’s by providing much needed finances and medical supplies.  These items are the very focus of first initiative in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Sri Lanka - (website). They will be effectively and transparently distributing the resources gathered by the SLCAM, the progress can be followed on their website

The SLCAM is also collecting much needed medical supplies from companies and hospitals to be used in the affected areas. Please contact Hashana Perera at

First Car Wash of 2009

Despite the cool and cloudy weather, last week’s car wash was a success raising $300 towards our Project H2O initiative
Thanks to all those who stopped by to volunteer and to have their cars washed!
