Haiti Initiative Update

First of all, a HUGE thank you to all that generously donated to this effort. Anything will go a very long way in times like these.

The medical supplies which had been donated by the Lakeshore General Hospital  were donated to Actions Haiti which will be sending the supplies down with an organization called CECI (www.ceci.ca). The supplies consisted of various items from bandages to surgical gloves to other essential items.

On the monetary side, the SLCAM was able to raise $875 CAD. This, along with incentives offered by Bombardier and the Canadian government, resulted in a contribution of $3500. The money will go to the Red Cross and the impact of your donations can be followed at http://www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=33898&tid=001
